Small Fuel Grants Scheme
The Trustees of SWAG are aware that because of the extremely high wholesale gas prices currently, coupled with the failure of several energy companies, many people may be faced with unexpectedly high fuel bills this winter. Those on low income may struggle to pay these bills and to alleviate this the trustees are introducing a new, small fuel grant scheme.
Small Fuel Grants
The Trustees have ring-fenced an emergency grant reserve to enable us to help those individuals and families on low income and struggling to pay high fuel bills. To qualify, you must live in Sway.
These grants are a fixed amount of £200 and no more than two are allowed per family with a minimum gap of three months between them. If your income level is such that you are likely to need ongoing help with fuel bills then please apply for our regular heating grant scheme, see our Financial Grants page here.
The small fuel grants scheme may be terminated at any time by the Trustees if the available reserve is exhausted or new government initiatives are introduced.
