Volunteer Lunch Club Cook
Thinking of helping out at Lunch Club? It's easier than you think!
There are four cooks for each session, who agree the menu in advance. One prepares the main course, two prepare vegetables and one prepares the pudding. Our cooks prepare most dishes at home and bring them to the Church Rooms. We serve up to 30 meals per session. New volunteers are given lots of help with tips on menus and quantities. You will be reimbursed for the cost of ingredients as the members' contribution covers the full cost of the meal.
It's a lovely way to make a difference to the lives of our elderly members and they very quickly become friends! If you feel that you could help, we would be very happy to welcome you on board. You decide how often to help - it can be once a year or more often.
