Sway Luncheon Club

Our Lunch Club is run by a team of over 40 volunteers who provide a home-cooked meal for residents of the village living alone. The club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month except for December when we have our Christmas party on the first Wednesday. This is a full turkey lunch with all the trimmings, wine, music and gifts and is a truly fun way to end the year.

Members are personally welcomed to each session and we charge £4 for a two-course meal with tea or coffee.

Transport to the Lunch Club is provided for those who need it by pre-arrangement with the Lunch Club organisers. We have a dedicated team of SWAG drivers who operate this service.

The lunch is served at 12 noon and most members arrive from 11.45, allowing time to chat with the friends they have made at the club. Our members value the companionship they enjoy very highly and the conversation flows freely!

Sway Lunch Club

Anyone can join the lunch club if they are over 65 and living alone in Sway. We feel that there are many more of our older residents who would benefit from this service and we ask the villagers to let us know of anyone who would enjoy being a member. At present we have 32 on our register but would be happy to welcome more.

If you are a Lunch Club member or cook we will need to hold some of your personal information. See our Data Privacy Policy and your rights here.

For more information please contact Jane Pitts (01590 682 742) or Deborah Walker (01590 681 014)
