Financial Help

SWAG can provide two types of financial help:

Help in an Emergency

We provide help to individuals and families with grants towards a variety of items. In the past we have helped pay for arrears of rent or Council Tax, school trips, nursery places, replacement boilers, replacement carpets, car repairs, food bills and a host of other items.

Please contact us and one of our trustees will visit you and your family to discuss your requirements in total confidence.

Help with Winter Heating Costs

We offer two schemes:

  • If your requirement is for short-term help with a specific fuel bill then please see our Small Fuel Grants page here
  • If your requirement is likely to be ongoing then we can provide regular help for eligible people with twice-yearly grants towards heating costs in December and March. Please contact us and one of our trustees will visit you and your family to discuss your requirements in total confidence.

Please call our Help Line – 01590 681 500 and select option 2 to make an appointment.
